I have sewn every where from the kitchen table to my own studio. We bought out house several years ago with a longarm in mind. My husband jokes he bought a shower with a house around it. I picked out house for the studio space, specifically the closet attached to my spacious room. I have a full walk in closet that can hold more fabric than you can shake a stick at. My sewing room has the advantage of great south facing light, hardwood floors, and is big enough for my long arm. Beyond that There is enough space for the kid and the dog to lay on the floor and I don't trip on them while I am working on the long arm.
